Let us not forget that Harold gave his life for our country. KIA Vietnam.

I remember Harold very well. In fact he came home on leave not long before he was killed and I had a chance to go out for a pizza with him. Every time I go to D.C. I go to the Wall and make a tracing of his name. We lost far too many of our young men - they are not forgotten.

Harold and I were good friends during shool.  I often think of him and the sacrifice he made to keep us free! He was a good young man!

I knew Harold from elementary school on, and he had older brothers & sister that went to school with my older brother & sister. I cried for a long time when I heard of his death. I also have visited his name several times at the Vietnam Memorial.

He was so young.  We were all still in HS.  He was the first person I knew who died.  He had a great singing voice.  He had memorable parties at his house.  It's good to remember him [again]. Lots of good times with Higgy.

Harold and I have been friends since elementary school. He was the nicest, kindest young man I have ever known. Rene Rubin Gorman and I went to the travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall to pay our respects to Harold, someone who gave his life for the freedoms our country offers to all. Rene and I have bought an ad in our Reunion Directory to remember our friend and "brother" Harold Higginbotham. I encourage any of you who have someone you would like to remember, honor, thank or just acknowledge, to contact Maria Richardson or any committee members. I can tell you from personal experience, it just makes you feel good to honor our departed classmates. Looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion, just wishing Harold could be there to celebrate with us.
