Brian and I were friends snce we were 14-15 yrs old., and stayed in contact until his death.
We both worked for Winn Dixie at age 16, I joined the Navy at 18 following graduation and Brian joined with me. However, he faiied his physical and was given a medical deferrment. He continued to work for Winn Dixie retiring as a store manager.
He purchased several Golf supply stores in Miami and Broward County after retirement from Winn Dixie before moving to Jacksonville Fl with his wife Joann. They had 2 daughters.
Brian died in Georgia during a family reunion at a hunting camp at age 55. He had a massive heart attack and despite immediate care from his paramedic nephew, never regained consciousness.
