Mike passed away during his tour with the US Navy. He was a passenger in a jeep that was involved in an accident, and passed away from drowning, resulting from a head injury.

We used to go in his '57 Ford to Southbeach (when it was just a beach and not all of the clubs it has now) oon many weekends. I remember listing to Pretty Woman on the radio and Mike singing the song. I still miss him. He died in a jeep accident while in the US Navy, I was told.

I never felt less adequate than when his sisters and parents asked how his death made sense. I still remember his sister's wedding when we were twelve years old--maybe I should say I remember the hangover--some very thoughtful friends took us bowling that day.
