In Memory

Julio DeArcos

This is a post from Julio's son this morning ( April 30, 2019):

"Last night we lost the greatest man I have ever known. He succumbed quickly to respiratory and cardiac complications from an illness.
His joy was sitting on the 50 yard line watching my boys thrive at sports and rarely missed a game. He was always ready for quality time in conversation; usually with a cigar. He was surrounded by his grandchildren until the very end.
Julio was always the biggest personality in the room and was loved by so many people because of it. I love you, pops. You will be missed by so many...

Services are being arranged in Winter Park, FL for the later part of next week."

Very sorry to hear of Julio's passing. He was a great teammate on the CP baseball team and a very nice person.

Like many of our CP classmates, he was from Cuba and his dad was a well known and highly respected major league baseball scout who helped many Latino's make it to the majors. In fact, he was instrumental in guiding our Eric Soderholm into professional baseball.

My sincere condolences to his children and grandchildren.

Danny Perales
