24 year AF veteran who was first an aircraft mechanic, transferred into the medical field as an operating room technician. Ended his career as a First Sergeant. Upon retirement, went back into the operating room, first at Baptist Hospital in Miami, where he was selected to be on the neurosurgical team. After Hurricane Andrew, moved up to Melbourne where he worked in the Melbourne Ambulatory Surgery Center. Was contacted by the VA to join their team in the newly opened Viera VA Clinic where he worked for 8 years until his retirement. Hunted and fished at every opportunity.
Very sorry to hear about Roy's passing. We were backyard neighbors and played often in the back yards, the street, and each others houses. His mom was our cub scout troop's den mother. Condolences to his family.
