I was sad to hear about Charlie's passing and my condolences to his sister and extended family. Charlie and I spoke periodically and he was so proud of his long time involvement track and his coaching successes.
So sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. I so remember meeting him when we started in Emerson elementry when it first open. He picked on me a lot. He was always happy. I almost beat him in the 600 yard dash. He beat me because I ran into a tree. Don't ask. Than out of the clear blue he called me for one of our reunions wanted to know where I was. Always happy. I remembered he cheered me up. My condolenses to Maria and family.
