Ian was in the USAF for 20 years, so we lived all over the world, including Okinawa, England, Turkey, and Germany. Stateside, we lived in FL, WA, ID, MT, MI. We retired to Destin, FL, but moved to Paradise, CA, four years ago to be near our son and two grandchildren, and closer to our daughter and other grandchild who live in Hawaii.

We still love to travel and spent a couple weeks in Mexico last January and next month will make our annual trek to Hawaii, where our daughter lives. Next summer will be Scotland to visit my husband's family, as Ian was born and raised there.

School Story

I only went to Coral Park for my senior year, but felt at home because I met up again with friends from elementary school, Kathy Reser and Judy Grosskopf. On my first day at Coral Park, I met Dale Ackerly who was a sophomore, and we became fast friends, and still are. For the most part, I did secretarial/office mgmt work while raising our children and following my husband's military career. I now am a writer/editor for our local museum, volunteer for a local group that serves the homeless, as well as a member of various organizations including DAR.

In our moves, I've attended a couple colleges and plan to return yet again next year in Chico, CA. One of these days I'll get my degree!

Over the years I've often thought of Pat and Pam, the only twins I ever knew. We were only acquaintences, but their names stuck with me. I'm so very sorry for Pam and the rest of Pat's family. God bless you all. Kathy (Childress) Steenson
